Have a Heart for Kids Day is your day to speak up for kids. Right now, your voice matters. Join hundreds of child, youth, and family advocates from across Washington state and speak up for kids!
The Children’s Alliance’s dedicated volunteer Board of Directors each bring their personal and professional expertise to the work of providing oversight and strategic guidance to the organization. Whether they are community leaders, parents, not-for-profit executives, or members of the business community, our board members share one thing in common: They all are proudly dedicated to making policy work for kids.
Board members are elected at the Children’s Alliance annual meeting each year. The board meets bi-monthly and has a variety of working committees, including Executive, Finance & Operations, Fund Development, Board Development, and Public Policy.
We are striving to build a board that includes people who are personally affected by the issues we work on; reflects the racial, cultural and class composition of the communities we work with; is deeply and passionately committed to the mission of the Children’s Alliance; and has the skills, resources, and capacity to fulfill the board’s roles of guidance, fundraising, and oversight.
