Adam Hyla joined the Children’s Alliance in August 2010, bringing more than 12 years of experience reporting on social and economic justice issues. As Communications Director, Adam leads strategic communication around Children's Alliance campaign priorities. Adam is the former editor of Real Change, Seattle’s award-winning weekly newspaper, and a contributing editor for the Olympia Newswire, an online startup devoted to in-depth coverage of education, labor, health care, welfare and family policy in the 2010 legislative session. A graduate of Reed College in Portland, Oregon, Adam lives with his wife and daughter in West Seattle.
