Christina Peters works in coordination with other members of the health policy team to ensure that Washington families have access to the opportunities they need for their children to be healthy, including through Apple Health for Kids and the implementation of health care reform. Christina holds a degree in Economics with a focus on development from the University of Washington.
After school, Christina interned at Congressman Jay Inslee’s office in Washington, D.C., then worked in New York as the Advocacy and Communications Associate for the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria, working with businesses from the hardest-hit regions to implement policies fighting the global AIDS pandemic and supporting those currently affected. Most recently, Christina worked at the Lovedale Foundation Orphanage in Bangalore, India where she managed the international volunteer staff. After years abroad and on the East Coast, she’s happy to be back in her native Northwest. She lives in Seattle with her husband and young daughter.
