Emijah Smith is the Community Organizer for the Children’s Alliance. She joined the Children’s Alliance in February 2009. Emijah describes herself as “a critical thinker passionate about empowering others through public service”.  She is a native of Seattle with at least 10 years experience in the healthcare and social service fields. She is committed to social justice and anti-racism efforts. She received her BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Washington. She also completed her Master in Public Administration at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs with a focus on education and social policy.
