Jennifer leads the Early Learning team at the Children’s Alliance and works with the Early Learning Action Alliance to advocate for policies and practices that ensure Washington’s children, beginning with those furthest from opportunity, get access to the high quality early learning opportunities they need be successful in school and life.
Prior to joining the Children’s Alliance, Jennifer worked for six years at the Washington State Department of Early Learning. She served as the Project Administrator for the Head Start State Collaboration Office. Jennifer promoted integration between federally funded Head Start/Early Head Start programs and systems and State systems in order to build alignment and maximize opportunities for the benefits of children and families. Jennifer also served as the Department of Early Learning Tribal Liaison supporting the Department’s government-to-government relationship with Tribal partners.
Jennifer holds a BA from the Evergreen State College in history and literature as well as a Masters of Public Administration degree, also from Evergreen.
Jennifer lives in Seattle with her husband, Sam, and their baby boy, Emile.
