Liz leads the Children’s Alliance strategic policy communications efforts, which focus on the organization’s four major campaigns: health care, hunger, early learning and foster care. She came to the Children’s Alliance from Seattle’s Child magazine, where she served as managing editor. She spent most of her journalism career in the Seattle bureau of the Associated Press, where she was a reporter and editor from 2000 to 2008. Before the AP, she wrote for The Reporter newspaper in Vacaville, Calif., and the Sonoma Index-Tribune in Sonoma, Calif.
Liz got her undergraduate degree in English and French Literatures from Stanford University. She lives in Seattle with her husband, daughter and son.
