Montae works in conjunction with the Food Policy Team to make sure more schools and non-profit organizations can serve nutritious snacks and meals to children after school. A longtime advocate on child welfare issues, he co-founded a program for current and former foster youth at UCLA, served as the Chair of the Legislative Committee for the foster rights advocacy group California Youth Connection, and interned at the District of Columbia Superior Court in Washington, D.C. Montae received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Public Affairs from UCLA in 2011.
