Children’s Alliance members are the heart and the power behind our advocacy for kids. You are invited to attend Children’s Alliance’s 2012 “Vote for Kids!” Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 13th from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the beautiful Northwest African American Museum.
Together, we’ll talk about raising the vote to support our children and families. This year’s Annual Meeting will feature an interactive discussion with state legislators who are making decisions that affect the lives of Washington’s children and families during these tough times.
We’ll offer a light breakfast, a great introduction and update on our work in the vote for kids, some inspiration to fuel your advocacy, as well as opportunities for you to share your feedback about our work, and ask tough questions of Washington state legislators on our guest panel:
• Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos (37th District - Seattle)
• Rep. Bruce Dammeier (25th District – Puyallup)
• Rep. Luis Moscoso (1st District - Mountlake Terrace)
• Sen. Steve Hobbs (44th District – Lake Stevens)
• Sen. Andy Hill (45th District – Redmond)
At no charge, guests are also welcome to view the beautiful and thought-provoking exhibits of the Northwest African American Museum, showcasing stories, crafts, arts, music, history and literature of the vibrant Pacific Northwest African American community.
