Have a Heart for Kids Day: 2011 Special Session

Children's Alliance 2011 Special Session Have a Heart for Kids day is Friday, December 2, 2011. This is your opportunity to bring your voice directly to your legislators as they return to Olympia to balance the budget.

This special Have a Heart for Kid day features:

Rally at Noon on Capitol Steps
Kids and youth will present a proclamation

by, for, and about Washington's kids
Opportunities for you to visit your legislator

Registration opens at 10am in the Columbia Room, on the first floor of the legislative building. There is not a program provided in the morning.

Children's Alliance staff and resources will be available from 10am to 3pm in the Columbia Room to answer your questions, and help you connect to your legislators. You are welcome to arrive anytime prior to start of the rally at noon.

Note: This event is different than Have a Heart for Kids Days you may have been to before! We are not meet at United Churches in the morning. Join us in the Columbia Room as early as 9am for information.

Major cuts are proposed to kids’ health care, food and nutrition programs, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, and more.

Because so much is at stake right now, Children’s Alliance is organizing this special day of advocacy during the Special Legislative Session. We will also host a regular session Have a Heart for Kids day on February 21, 2012.
