The 2007 Voices for Children Awards Luncheon

Governor Chris Gregoire

Governor Chris Gregoire gave the keynote address at this year's awards luncheon.

Read Susan Paynter's column about the event in the Seattle PI.

The 2007 Voices for Children Awards Luncheon was our most successful ever, drawing more than 600 guests and raising nearly $90,000 to support the advocacy work of the Children's Alliance.

The generous support of our sponsors, donations from hundreds of individuals and the opportunity to honor some of the state's most outstanding children's advocates made this luncheon memorable. Our thanks go out to all of you.

If you were unable to attend, you can still make a gift today through our online system.

The following awardees were honored:

  • Michael Ramos, Director of Social Justice Ministries for the Church Council of Greater Seattle
  • Laurie Lippold, Public Policy Director at the Children’s Home Society of Washington
  • Dr. John Neff, M.D., Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center
  • Doreen Cato, Executive Director of First Place, Seattle
  • Sheriff Bill Mahoney, Cowlitz County
