SENATE MUST VOTE ON DENTAL THERAPY

We are now in the final weeks of the 2023 legislative session and our senators have the opportunity to increase dental access for all Washingtonians! House Bill 1678, which would expand the practice of dental therapy in our state, has moved out of Senate Rules Committee. The Senate now has until Wednesday, April 12 to schedule the bill for a floor vote.
More than 2 million Washington residents, particularly people in communities of color, families with low incomes, and residents of rural communities, do not have access to the dental care they need. Dental therapy has been proven to increase access to critical oral health care in communities where it is most out of reach.
