And just like that, the 2026 Legislative Session has officially come to a close. This was certainly a challenging year with many highs and lows, but there were some significant wins for kids and families.

Please join us in thanking lawmakers for passing the Millionaires Tax — which asks the very wealthiest Washingtonians to contribute a 9.9% tax on earnings over $1 million, and in return, it will generate over $3 billion every year to support programs and services that benefit us all; and Washington Thriving — a clear, unified strategic plan for Washington’s youth behavioral health policy work, which will bring partners together, repair a long-fragmented system, and ensure that every young person—and every family—can get the effective, equitable, and affordable support they deserve.
