About our speakers:
Representative Steve Bergquist is a public school teacher who has also been a small business owner. Living in Renton, he’s a proud fourth-generation resident of the 11th Legislative District. He’s currently a member of the Appropriations, Early Learning & Human Services (Chair), and Education committees, serves as Co-Chair of the Joint Higher Education Committee, and is a member of the DCYF Oversight Board. His priorities include helping working families and small businesses recover from the pandemic, and ensuring students and educators — from K-12 to higher education — have the support they need.
Senator Noel Frame is an award-winning legislator, who has been honored more than 15 times for her work advocating for youth in foster care and juvenile justice systems, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges, economic development, and fixing the state's upside-down tax code. She serves as Deputy Floor Leader of the Senate, vice chair of the Senate Housing Committee, vice chair of the Senate Business, Financial Services, Gaming & Trade Committee, and as a member of the Senate Human Services Committee.
