Past Event: Path Forward 2023

Want to learn about policy solutions to Washington's youth mental health crisis? Join us for a thought-provoking conversation with Representative Lisa Callan (5th District) and Dr. Trevor Greene, Superintendent of Schools for the Yakima School District.

Together with Children’s Alliance Executive Director, Dr. Stephan Blanford, they will explore promising approaches and share insights on how we can collectively develop a system that provides the care our youth deserve.

This event takes place online via Zoom.

About our speakers

Representative Lisa Callan has served in the state legislature since 2018 and represents the 5th District. She currently serves as a co-chair of the Children & Youth Behavioral Health Work Group, leading a group of hundreds of stakeholders focused on improving behavioral health services and strategies for children, youth, families, and caregivers. Through this work, she’s helped pass many new policies in mental health, substance use, suicide prevention, workforce development, and perinatal-to-young-adult behavioral healthcare.

Dr. Trevor Greene is serving his fifth year as Superintendent of Schools for the Yakima School District. During this time he has united the community around a strategic plan that focuses on student attendance, dual language, early learning, and on-time graduation. In previous roles, Dr. Greene served students as a paraeducator, school security guard, teacher, assistant principal, principal, and district administrator.
