TELL LAWMAKERS: PROTECT ESIT FUNDING!
House Bill 2688 would put funding for Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) at risk. Following successful advocacy last year, ESIT programs that serve babies and toddlers are now funded in a way that is consistent with children ages 3-5 who receive special education services: when funding for the preschool program is increased, so is funding for babies and toddlers. HB 2688 would undo that connection. If the bill passes and funding for ESIT falls behind, providers will struggle to deliver the services young children need.
Please use the form below to ask your legislator to vote “no” on this bill before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7.
